My DD aged 3.5 looks like she's gone 10 rounds with Joe Calzaghe

My beautiful daughter has a hugely swollen, puffy and nearly closed eye, the GP has given her penicillin and ibuprofen and wants to see her again tomorrow morning.

It started with conjunctivitis, she has obviously rubbed something in it and it's very sore.

I know this is paranoid PFB-ism (and DH took her to the doctors as I was at work), but when the swelling goes down, will there be any scarring or after effects?

I know it's pathetic but it's so upsetting to look at her poor little sore face.

Thanks

sounds nasty. My dd1 had a swollen face when she was two, along with a very high temperature, it turned out to be sinusitis.

She hasn't really got a temperature, she's got a general heavy cold/flu and is all stuffed up. It's just the one eye. I'm pathetic, it's because I'm here at work feeling guilty that I'm not cwtched up at home with her mainly

aww bless her

My DDs eyes once swelled up so badly that she couldnt open them (after an allergic reaction) they swelled up to quickly that they bruised, but no there wasnt any scarring or after effect, it took a while for the swelling and bruising to go completely but her eye were just as twinkly and pretty afterwards

Hope she is on the mend soon
