DD (almost 8) just looks so dreadful at the moment. She has loads of sleep (almost 12 hours last night), eats reasonably well (lots of fruit not great on veg). She says she feels ok and seems to have ok energy. Is it the time of year, the result of a long cold winter? Roll on summer if so!

Yes, tbh all of us here are feeling dragged down physically - me and dh included!

Hi Sandyballs, if you are worried about her and notice she is not looking her usual wee self, I would take her for a check up. I'm sure she is fine, but if she is looking pale and dark eyed and sleepy, she may be a bit run down. She may just need a tonic, but I always feel a quick visit to GP can just put your mind at ease.

YES! DD is nearly 4 and she's never eaten huge amounts but is being really funny with food at the minute, so I've really noticed a difference. If she hasn't perked up by the time spring arrives I'm taking her for a checkup. I've been giving her a tonic beginning with M to give her a boost. It'll come to me......

my dd's are like this too, started last wednesday. DD1 ended up at docs today with suspected ear infection to top things off.

Think its just the run of bad weather, and i think its probably been a hard half term for them all at school because it seems to have been quite wide-spread.

Yes, DD2 (3yo) is tired and a bit rundown. For her, it is just the winter, the number of bad colds etc she's had. Roll on some nice weather

Hi Songbird, is it Minodex?

MarsLady · 18/02/2009 11:57

When DD1 looked like this I took her to the homeopath I can't remember what she had but it perked her up no end.

Yes, thank god its starting to get warmer, dd1 always looks pale in the winter and so do i, we all need a bit of sunshine .

Minadex works wonders on my 3.

Songbird · 18/02/2009 12:00

Yes mej! Apparently my mum used to give it to me and my bros whenever we were 'a bit off' and it worked a treat then. When I got some for DD I licked the spoon and the taste just threw me back 25 years, really weird! It picked DD up incredibly for about a week, I couldn't get her to stop eating, healthy stuff an all but the effect has worn off a bit now, perhaps because I've dropped the dose. I don't really want her on vits constantly. But if that's what it takes, I suppose I'll up it again and see. I'm feeling generally crap too at the mo. Roll on Spring!

Thanks everyone. I am a bit worried about her so I think I might pop her to the docs for a quick check up, no harm is there. I think she's had a growth spurt, she suddenly seems taller and much skinnier, which I suppose must be quite exhausting in itself! I wish I could do that! get rid of some of these curves . I will also get a botle of Minadex.
