dd1 had a negative pee stick but her urine was really cloudy...what could this mean?

Doc quite concerned that her urine was so cloudy so sent it up to the lab.
i've asked her to now and again do a wee in a (DON'T CRINGE I DO DISINFECT IT!) pint glass just to see how it looks.she's on antibiotics and it does look alot clearer at the moment. However, bless her,she voluntarily brought me a "glass" downstairs this morning and there was literally half a pint of urine in there! Is that right? She's only 10!

Is she drinking enough.

I'm only suggesting as mine gets cloudy if i have not been drinking much water.

hlaf a pint is not much
try to get her to drink mre
what colour is it? is it straw colourd or more amber

when you say cloudy do you mean you cannot see through it whilst in the glass

it's what i would call usual wee colour now..but last night, during a rehearsal for a show she's in,she said she went about x 7 times in the space of 3 hours!!!

What was it negative for? Were they checking for glucose or a UTI?

cutekids · 16/02/2009 13:55

nothing showed up on it at all...i'm talking about the first pee stick they do in the doc's surgery.think it looks for sugar, blood etc.he said neither of these were present.showed me the stick and none of the little squares had changed colour.still sent it up to the lab though as it was so cloudy.

Nothing back from the lab yet? When was it sent?
