what is happening right now to my son?

last night small urticaria hive on wrist

tonight uritcaria on toes of feet, knees, waist, inside of elbows, armpits

AND fever of 38.5

gave neurofen and dead worried

same two days in laws visiting

can lipstick do this?

can urticaria have fever???

or is the urticaria a result of a fever???

is this an allergy - noithing new in his life

and to top it all seems well enough - just a bit grunpy - but not crying loads

in Bumbly's post of 09:03:15, she actually says that the calpol and ibruprofen don't seem to be doing anything.

sorry, in the other posts , it was

if the temp is not controlled, then NHS direct or out of hours doctors

a baby won;t be seen immediately in A&E for a high temp and rash

She has several threads going at the same time, and on another she was saying she hadn't given ibuprofen because NHS Direct said don't alternate paracetamol/ibuprofen.

Myself and some others said not to listen to NHS Direct and take ibuprofen anyway (this was about 9 AM) and I took her subsequent post about her DS' temp coming down to 36 C as indication that ibuprofen worked.

If her DS has been having the same kind of rashes with fever previously, no, I wouldn't take him to A&E either. My understanding from OP was that this is all new and rather surprising for her.
