My DS is having a circumcision tomorrow with general anaesthetic.

He has had a chesty cough in the mornings for the last 2 days and today has been really grumpy with a runny nose. I rang the doctors secetary who said to bring him in tomorrow and the Anaesthatist will check him over and deside whether to go ahead.

I'm worried, should I do as advised, or cancel? He doesn't have a temp and if this op wasn't tomorrow I wouldn't give his cough much though... so don't know whether over reacting.

Also would like some advise, if do go ahead, as to what I should take with us to hopital. I'm assuming we will be in and out, but haven't been told anything.

Cheers

personally, I would do as adviced. THe Anaesthesiologist (sp?) will be the best one to judge if it s o.k. to put him under or not. They do not take unecessary risks, iykwim!
