crohns dis and chest pain,need appt?

dd,15has crohns disease for 8 mos,last night said had chest pain lasted "ages" and tight chest.has had cold 1,2 weeks,looks pale.
made her appt at 11 am at gp she went promptly ballistic and didn't want to goetcetc.
she has been in a phase of denial lately and minimises things.
wanted to walk alone from school to gps i said no,but shall i let her go in alone or will she say nothings wrong[i think so] and am i right to insist on appt?

I think you should go in with her, even if you meet her in the dr's. Its tiring having condition I have UC and it wears me down some days.

I was 16 when I first got it, its embarrasing, wearing, awkward to talk about. maybe she is just mad with it causing problems for her.
Wait til she is 21 its the topic of every dinner table conversation when family get together.

she was a bit sullen but got antibiotics and if pain still prob in week go back in case pain is from stomach.
i felt hurt when she said she could have gone in alone[after appt],not cos i don't want her doing it alone,but cos she's so shouty,and want to know she's sorted iyswim.
at first she was terribly good about it but lately is angry also won't really say if she's ill.
did you go thru a diff time emotionally a few months after dx?

Yes first few months/year was awful for me, so tired and worn out. trying to enjoy normal everyday stuff and not being able to keep up really (glued to the loo each night ha ha). I can laugh about it now.
Your dd is right at the point of growing up and its so embarrasing at this age, friends doing stuff she maybe cannot manage. Im sure she wiill be fine and get used to it in time. Maybe a chat to her and see how she really feels (im not telling you what to do just maybe help you understand it better from her point of view if she opens up)
