Bit worried about my 2.6y DD. She seems to have discharge in her knickers.

Hi,

I have just taken my DD2 to the toilet for a wee, when she was finished I noticed a creamy coloured something on her bits. I wiped her but couldn't see what it was, then as I pulled her knickers up, I noticed that she has quite a lot of discharge in her knickers.

The knickers have been on her since 8pm last night as she is dry at night so wears knickers.

Why would she have discharge at this age? She seems to smell normal, although she did want to know why I was smelling her bum!

Any ideas what this could be?

thrush can cause this sort of discharge - does she look red at all? I would try a bit of canestan for a couple of days. My little girls get this occasionally.

Thanks morningpaper. I have just had another look and there's no redness at all.

I would move in there with a little bit of canestan to see if it clears up - if not and it continues, maybe a trip to the Docs just to check. But normally canestan does the job here.

Thanks will try that.

also maybe try keeping her without knickers for as long as possible - would she sleep without knickers on? She probably needs some air down there and definately try the canesten
