High temp and pains in legs :( is this just another virus?

Ds been up since 4.30 with high temp and pains in his legs He's had calpol and nurofen and is now beginning to calm down

oh poor thing!
I am no medical expert so cannot comment on those symptoms with any accurate advice. Sounds like the pain relief is kicking in and bringing the temp down which is good.
If he were mine, I would make sure he drank plenty of liquids to avoid dehydration, keep a close eye on his symptoms and how they develop. Where are the leg pains? My DD1 got pains in her joints and in her groin when she was off with a virus. Apparently joint pain and the swollen glands (groin, under arms, neck) are fairly common symptoms with various viral infections.

He just say's everywhere
He has just managed a slice of toast but says his throat hurts so off to gp at 9.20. He has had tonsillitis 4 times since july so hope its not that.

Yep tonsilitis so another course of penicillin
Ds slept all day on me so only just managed to move.
