does anyone know anything about hand foot and mouth disease?

took ds to walk in centre and he has it hes only nearly two years of age
they said theres nothing they can give him

I remember dd1 having it at the same age. It's nothing to worry about and is very common for children at that age. You just have to help them be comfortable if they aren't feeling good or have too many ulcers so can't eat.
The spots come with cold/flu symptoms I think I remember. My dd had LOADs of mouth ulcers at the time, a shocking number, so only managed liquids for a while. In theory most adults will have already had it so it is unlikely you will get it, but I did.

It's nasty, but it's not serious. Give him ice cream and ice lollies as his mouth will be very painful. Also calpol and children's ibruprofen for the pain.
