Ds1 (5) was coughing a lot the night before last, it sounded pretty chesty but he was Ok apart from a bit tired. He went and did his nativity yesterday, then came home, went straoght to sleep and woke at midnight very feverish and red faced, saying he had a headache, kept muttering in his sleep, was crying etc. and also his cough was still awful - 'productive' is the word I think but you can hear there is way more still in there. (sorry)

This morning he seemed cheerful and was less hot, but I ketp him at home as clearly not very well and was very pale.

He had a quiet morningon the sofa with blanket, gradually got hotter again towards evening and has just gone to bed for a sleep (had sleep earlier too)

I am not sure if all this means he has a virus that will sort itself out or if it is necessary to take him to the Drs.
I'm keeping an eye on his temp but he refuses calpol (really phobically).
i think his head is hurtng again as well, maybe coughing or dehydration I think (he forgets to drink at school anyway, that didn't help I think)

I doubt he will go in tomorrow but any thoughts on whether I need to act or just wait it out?
Thanks x

I forgot to say he was awake nearly all night last night.
