Could my daughter have a urine infection ?

Hi, 2 weeks ago my daughter ate one of my MIL's very strong ferusemide (water tablets). My MIL just had them sitting unwrapped by her bed. I phoned NHS direct and they advised that she was checked by a doctor. He said that it was a huge dose for her size but just within safe limmits. He said she'll wee a lot but drink a lot too, to make up for it.
She hasn't been drinking any more than usuall, dispite me constantly offering drinks. She woke up this morning and we could smell as soon as she came in our room. When we took of her nappy, it smelt extreamly strong. She's also been wetting herself recently, which she hasn't done for quite a while now.
She dosn't appear to be in any discomfort and is her usuall happy self. What should we do?

Overnight nappies often do smell strong, particularly if the child weed early on in the night, so I wouldn't read too much into that.

Wetting herself could be a sign of a urine infection, but there are countless reasons why she might be doing that, too.

Urine infections usually cause pain on weeing, but not always. I would take her to the GPs with a urine sample and see what comes from that.

Thank you, I'll try to get her to drink plenty, and if it dosn't improve or she feels any pain, I'll send her to the docs with a sample.
