why cant you give GRIPE WATER to under 1 month old baby?

It used to have alcohol in it and you could give from birth and now theyve taken alcohol etc out of it and it says over 1 month old. Asked my HV and she couldnt give a reason why you cant.

Anyone shed any light?

no idea. i was practically raised on the alcoholic version and it hasn't done me any harm (hic )

ask the pharmacist -they are usually more helpful
