DD has very loose bowels - what can I put on her sore bottom?

I tried to put some nappy cream on (it was still in the cupboard from ages ago but the use by date is okay) but she screamed and it looks very red and angry. Is there something else that anyone would recommend I put on it for her please? She's nearly 4.

second metanium, I think it's fab.

that's what i'd put on - the metanium! Glad you both think that's good as I don't have any sudocrem . Perhaps DD's screaming while tI tried to put it on was a good sign that it's going to work and heal it up nicely. It was really red - bless her.
