Friend's baby is going to be born with a few problems, I'm worried about how DD will react and don't want to upset friends, any advice?

If the baby has just a cleft palate as my ds1 did then it won't be obvious anyway. If he has a cleft lip too then I would, as others have suggested, show your dd a picture of what to expect first and explain that the baby won't be in pain.
