Ds has a scab on his head and I am not sure what it is

It is on the top of his head and I noticed it the other day whilst washing his hair. There is actually two little bits right next to each other but it doesn't look like a normal scab as it's flakey.

At first it looked a bit like cradle cap and so i picked a bit off. It comes of in little bits stuck to the hair, but it isn't getting any better and looks a bit sore.

Can you get Impetigo on your scalp ??

Dd had something that sounds like what you describe. Doc gae us T-gel shampoo. He didn't think it was ringworm, but wasn't sure.

Dd's psoriasis started off with a patch like you are describing together with a high temp and general unwellness. (sorry, i know unwellness is not a word!)

Her type of psoriasis is exacerbated by the strep bacteria so she had antibiotics for 6 wks and steroid cream.

The t-gel shampoo is fab for it by the way.

Oh god, if ds has to have anti b's for 6 weeks he will hate me forever

I had to ring his dad to come and help give him his lunch time lot and we had to pin him down.
