We got rid of dd2s very stubborn ones with banana skin! Bandage a piece on (skin side to verruca) every night for 2 weeks.

KateF · 22/11/2008 14:34

Sorry-should have said inside to verruca

smartiejake · 22/11/2008 14:39

Not a natural remedy but Wartner is very effective. Very cold and kind of aches when you apply it but the veruuca will go within about 10 days.

Hi Katef, I take it you don't put anything on through the day then, just the banana skin at night?

Thanks smariejake, think will give the banana skin a go for a couple of weeks, then maybe the Wartner. Is the wartner the freezing method?

Yes. As I said very cold but only hold it on for about 20 secs to work.

Sorry, had to go away for a bit...yes just banana at night, every night for 2 weeks. Warning-will stain the bandage! We had tried everything else and this was recommended by a friend's mum who is a chiropodist. Have no idea how it works but it did it for us and at least it can't possibly do any harm!

we had big success with banana skin too after advice on here

blushingm · 22/11/2008 19:55

wartner is rubbish ime

dontbitemytoes · 23/11/2008 20:59

100% lemon oil (pure essential oil). dab it on morning and night with clean cotton bud (dont let it touch any other part of skin if you can) should shift it within a week.

its the only thing thats ever worked in my family, although I have to admit i've never heard of the banana thing

I use this;

www.expresschemist.co.uk/product_2452_scholl-verruca-removal-system-pack.html

You put the 'dot' over the verruca, and cover with the plater provided. I use another plaster on top to keep in place. Seems to work well when my DC's get them.

thanks so much for all the advice. Started banana treatment last night, so will see how it goes. Failing that, will try the other treatments.

Thanks again
