Help!!! How to I get hair mattes out of her hair!!

Hi,

I'm looking for any advice I can possibly get!!! My daughter has really long hair but when she sleeps she moves alot which creates hair mattes which are just inpossible to brush through - i've tried loads of condition but not helping!! Its right next to her scalp so can't even cut it out........ please help x

I use a detangling spray..in all honesty it does next to bugger all but SHE believes it does so is far more patient while I got at the matted bits with a comb. The other thing I do when it is really bad is to wash it loads of conditioner then comb with conditioner still in and a wide toothed detangling comb.

I have VERY curly hair and suffer a lot like this when it is long and the best thing is to just got at it firm but not rough until the tugs and matted bits are gone.

When it is sorted - make sure you plait it before bed (if she is old enough)

Agree with above as a tatty head myself! Conditioner and plaits is the way to go.
