Of all of the potential treatments for CPS it has amongst the least effect on development and behaviour.

remember that the side effects listed have to have all of the side effects that have been repoeted, no matter how rare. the vast majority of people on this medication will have few, if any side effects.

Leaving the CPS untreated will have negative effects of itself.

Yes! My dd(8) has been on Tegretol for about a month. she's just been diagnosed with frontal lobe nocturnal epilepsy. I've been posting on SN, you might want to come along to that group. dd was very, very tired at first & emotionally volatile. I was terrified at her personality change but she's now getting all the sleep she needs & is wonderful... better than ever, thank God.

Thanks all of you for the info. I will come over to that group Caribo thanks. I think that is my biggest concern really how his behaviour might change and how it might affect his learning. I know he is only 4 but for his age he is doing very well at school for his first term and he has such a desire to learn new things all the time which I don't want to be affected. Suppose we'll just have to wait and see
