Worried about un-even leg creases and gluteal cleft that is not straight

Right.. DD is just coming up to 10 months. She has a wonky clft between her buttocks and this has worried me for some time, but the Gp and health visitor re-assured me at the time it was okay. Now i have seen another Gp and she has reffered me to hopsital clinic to do further investigations, and she also pointed out that she has uneven creasing on her legs.
Has any one elses babies had either of these problems?

I am trying to keep calm about it as her appointment is not until the end of DEC but am working myself up reading about various conditions on the web. Incidently Dd is crawling and loves crusing around so not too worried about that but she doesn't like to lie on her back or sit in a lying back position(like in a car seat ) for very long. Sorry for rambling but i need some re-assurance!

Sorry the Gp said that the uneven creasing can indicate a hip problem.

it can be a sign of hip dysplasia I think.
if caught early it can be treated with just a cast, but if left too long children sometimes need operations.

I hope it turns out to be just one of those things and is nothing to worry about, but if not then getting seen early is good! hope all goes well with the appt

yes, Myjobismum, thats the bit i mean! Its good to hear that your son is fine, it does help to hear that as i do have a tendancy to blow things out of proportion when it comes to health matters

thanks thisisyesterday also, i hope its nothing as well, she is quite chubby as they are at this age and I didn't think anything of it.
