ds had meningitis in the summer so I am a bit worried about him being poorly again - not getting meningitis again just feeling ill if i can help it. So, after yesterdays's constant sleeping/ crying/ high temperature and no sleep last night, I made an appointment for this morning. Right up until we got there he was crawling after me sobbing, etc. Get in, he starts giggling, smiling, temperature vanishes, etc etc doctor tries to be kind, pretends to take me seriously, but is obviously thinking hypochondriac/ fussy mother. I am so . Luckily he coughed in the appointment...

I reckon a lot of the time its because we dont go to see the Doctor in the middle of the night!! Before now I have threatened my DS4 that he better cough and look all sorry for himself when we are in the Doctors

Exactly. Last night we had no slepp as he spent all night screaming at the top of his lungs while asleep. Wd only take water. Now he is asleep again. Too embarassed to go back...may invest in some sort of video type thing - CCTV link to GP maybe.

don't worry - we know they do it and my own does the same!

I was going to say"Because they weren't ill in the first place" then I saw about the meningitis and obviously you have a perfect right to ba as paranoid as you want to be - and I'm sure the doctor agrees
