it's free on the NHS, even with my private dentist (he treats all children as NHS patients)

Please consider paying for a white filling, amalgam is mercury and silver and is banned in other european countries. White fillings cost around £90 for an adult. You can also look in to ozone treatment, no drilling and pain free, the tooth is blasted with ozone and sealed and the tooth heals itself from the inside, but if its been previously drilled you cant do it, this is around £50 a tooth, expensive I know.

i have never heard of ozone treatment can you elaborate? sounds too good to be true that the tooth heals itself.

(luckily ds didn't need a filling phew)
