Worzel, I just saw your response on the other thread we were posting on and rather than hijack further thought I'd start a new thread...

When is the op?

My dd's is slap bang in the middle of her forehead. although her fringe covers it a lot now... Cons' said (when she was a baby) that by 9YO they are the best they are ever going to get and that they are reluctant top operate until then unless it is on an eye/ear/mouth/nostril etc do you know if that is why you are having yours done early?

My dd's has faded a lot and is now barely noticable unless she is ill/angry/upset (well anything that changes her complexion really)

It came up at about 2 weeks and by the time she was one at a guess measured half inch length by qtr inche width and probably risen by qtr of an inch.. although a lot of the colour has gone she does has some slightly 'spongey' skin there stil which I expect she will be able to have tidied up.

How are you feeling about the op?

And to answer your other Q.. no she wasn't Prem she was only 3 days prior to my due date so almost amazingly on time lol

Was your DS prem?

Isn't odd how you go through life never noticing anybody with one then once you hvae a baby with one people literally stop you in the street to tell you they/their mother/sister/brother/neice etc had one.

So many people would pull their children hair back to show me where there used to be one etc

Sometimes it got quite amusing lol

Gosh I've harped on!!

My DD2 has a strawberry naevus. Her popped up on her left thigh when she was about 3 weeks old. There, it remained, red, angry and really raised for years.
Our doc caused uproar cos he told us it looked like a cigarette burn. He also told us not to try and shave it off

DD2 is nearly 11 now and it's flat and very very slight but I can still see it.

She wasn't too prem either. A week early, although had ECV at 34 weeks as she was breech.

Good luck with your op Wurzel. Let us know how it goes
