GP should help you. DD2 as toddler used to have terrible trouble recovering from upset stomachs. After each upset she had pale yellow/green runny poos for weeks on end & terrible nappy rash after any upset (even when samples taken were clear of original bug). One great GP explained the pale colour poo was likely to be down to her slightly immature gut struggling to recover from the original nasty bacteria, and recommended giving DD2 the actimel/yakult kind of bacterial yoghurty drinks (one a day for a week at least) to put the "good bacteria back" once she was over the first day or two (and metanuim cream to heal followed by vaseline once red rash gone to form barrier to protect skin). It worked a treat and she always recovered very quickly afterwards since if we get the actimels quickly!.
