the title says it all really, although relates to dd 13mo. i have tried all sorts to help her pain, but obviously i am wiping her regularly due to the diarrhoea.....what do you recommend to help her with the pain, she won't sit down properly, just stands or squats

TIA

Put on your usual nappy rash cream with a thick coating of vasaline over it - seals it on for a bit.

metanium is excellent

as much nappy off time as you can (i know this is hard with lots of pooing)

stop using wipes and go for water and cloths or cotton wool

also, no bubbles etc in the bath

ooh will try the vaseline thanks izy!

ruby, have used metanium now for days, is usually the BEST stuff isn't it?! but it's not touching the rash anymore

thanks for no bubbles in bath hint, would have done, might put teatree oil in tonight, or chamomile, r even lavender - does anyone know whether these would be ok on sore skin?

Probably wouldnt use the tea tree in case the skin is broken.

Dd 15m has exactly the same problem. She always gets it just before a tooth breaks through. No other suggestions, just sympathy.
