maybe a poo bug... depends if cramps higher in tummy or lower in bowels.

i'd be checking if it's sore to touch/is there a temperature/how long cramping for???

if tender call NHS direct

3littlefrogs · 30/09/2008 19:41

Is he constipated? Is it trapped wind? Has he eaten anything unusual? It sounds like colic. If he is not vomiting/having diarrhoea/high temp, maybe a warm bath and/or tummy massage would help?

If he is vomiting etc, then it might be a bug and you should maybe call nhs direct.

thanks you two, tis ok now, hes asleep.
i think there is a bit of a mild tummy bug about atm (ds2 was sick the other night too) but was madly exacerbated by tiredness. he didnt sleep well yesterday, then had a full day at nursery... bit much for a wee 2.8yo

he cried for a full hour before falling asleep in my arms, waking and crying back to sleep again after another half hour or so. phew. then had to hold ds2's hand while he fell asleep.

think ive earned a glass of wine now!
