How long can a 2 year old safely not eat for? Vomiting etc.

Hi my Ds has been vomiting up any (most) milk and refusing all solids for going on two days now. He is taking sips or a gulp or two of water here and there. yesterday I was worried about dehydration as he wasn't even drinking much and his eyes looked a little 'sunken' (mind you, he understandably looked peaky generally). No diarrhea or temperature but just wondering how long he can go on like this before I need to take him to the doctors (maybe I should have already?) Any advice appreciated.

Having the feeding tube does sound like it's going to make all your lives hugely easier - I guess it's just going through the operation that's going to be not so nice. Good luck with that! Great your DH gave up work to help with your dd. Mr SaintRiven (noticed your name change ) sounds saintly indeed!

heheh, don't know about that. I made him. And reminded him he had 12 years of career while I reared his other spawn. He will work part time once dd is at school and I am gonna do something.

Just saw your photo montage earlier from the other thread-beautiful family you've got and your dd is gorgeous (quite like your burkha too - very stylish ). So maybe your hubby isn't a saint but it looks like he loves his little girl so much. Very moving to see your photos.

Thanks. Was hugging that bucket too much of the night. Useful things, buckets.

just think of it as fasting and/or slimming
You able to rest up today?

Yeah I'll probably fit into jeans I haven't been able to fit since Before Child I'm sure that lovely novelty will last all of two days. Dp stepped into the breach and took DS of to nursery this morning and will collect him again soon. Three hours off better than none . MrSaintdancer1 has been quite good really, but have had to instruct him on such simple things to do with Ds like how to make his snack, what to wear etc.
