Nurofen / Medised - can they be take together alternatively....

Hi everyone
DS is 2.5 yrs, has temp of about 39.5 .. had Nurofen about 4 hours ago, can I now give him Medised to bring his temp down(don't have any Calpol) as can only give him 3 does of Nurofen in 24 hours.

Would be grateful if anyone can help answer this!
