LO is 6months and just got his first cold - are we supposed to stay in away from the rest of humanity or is it safe to take him for a weigh in at baby clinic?
Also, does he need to stay home from nursery with a cold or only for things like d&v?

Spot the first timer

Take him out and carry on as normal unless he's not feeling up to it and just wants to cuddle up with you.

I was a first timer once too ....

AFAIK he is fine to take outside as long as he is wrapped up warm and well enough himself to go outside. However, it won't hurt for him to miss one weigh in if you don't feel happy taking him.

He does not have to stay away from nursery with a cold, however, as it is his first cold you may feel more comfortable keeping him at home where you can keep an eye on him. If he has a fever, don't send him to nursery though.

Oh and I hope he gets well soon.

(We took DD on a plane to USA when she had her first cold at 5.5months!)

it depends how he is in himself. if he is fine with a snotty nose and a bit of a cough then carry on as normal. If he is all snuggly then you will prob want to stay in.

ahhh to be a first timer again

ta!
He'll be fine with the going out and about, yesterday was his worst day for runniness but it's solidified a bit more now Just didn't want to go to a baby clinic if other mothers would get upset at it being passed on!
