Ds has very dry skin all over his body but the skin behind his knees is red and weepy wih a few scabs. I don't know what to do. I leave him without clothes as much as possible but because he is stil so tiny his knees are always bent so no air can get to the area. What can I do to help?

I have only just found the site this morning! I have never used a site like this really. I have been raving about Aalgo for the past week as it has worked so amazingly and having lost the leaflet they gave me when I bought the stuff I googled Aalgo to find the website so that I could send them a testimonial. I came across an old thread on this site asking if anyone had tried it and was it any good. The thread was 5 years old so I searched for a newer one and got here. I had nearly typed a novel singing its praises before I realised that I had to sign up before I could post a reply! So had to start again. I am a real Mum with 4 kids and really don't have the time or inclination to try and scam people! It works and I just wanted to let everyone know!

Thanks for the nice welcome to the site anyway, I was only trying to help!

Have googled Lukey123 and what he has written on many different forums are phrases from the testimonials in the Aalgo leaflet. Unfortunately, he is probably doing Aalgo more harm than good. I don't understand why though. I can only speak from personal experience when I say that I bought the stuff 2 weeks ago and it has worked for my DS, don't let 1 guy who obviously has nothing better to do in his life put you off something that may be the answer to your eczema problems. I wish I hadn't been so gushing about it now wasn't expecting to be met with such cynicism towards me!

I'm sorry that you feel "got at" RAM, but if you stay on MN you'll realise that a lot of companies think they can pose as parents and flog their stuff. It happens regularly and sometimes so blatently that it's hilariously funny. It is sad that experience makes us suspicious, often of quite genuine and perfectly nice people, but that's the real world for you.

If you think about when you get an unsolicited phonecall telling you you've "won" a fabulous holiday to an exotic location, do you start packing or do you suspect it's not as free as they imply? What about emails from Nigerian princes who just need your bank details to access their millions, for which they will gladly give you 10%? Most people are suspicious of wonder products that they haven't heard of before unless they hear it from someone who's judgement they know and trust, it's not personal against you it's just natural caution.

I hope you stick around and enjoy MN, it's good fun, very useful and just a little (deliciously) bitchy.

Thanks Bran! Well I'm definitely not posing as a parent, if you could see the grey hairs rapidly accumulating on my head you would just "know" I have 4 kids!!! Finding Aalgo has been a godsend to us and I wanted to share it with others who see their child in distress and want to do something to ease their pain. If it hadn't worked I'd have been on here instead warning everyone not to buy it! But my eyes have been opened to the "fakes". I will upload some photos onto my profile tomorrow to show the difference it has made to my DS! I will stick around, its the first forum site I have joined so I'm a real newby. Please excuse my naiveity (?)!!

Hi does anyone know did RealArsenalMum ever post those pics and is her childs eczema still healing/cured?

sophi1 · 14/10/2009 17:29

Hi I also am like the other lady who came across Aalgo purely by chance at a food market locally and again I am sceptical as have tried so many things but have used on our 5 year old who has severe eczema and what a difference it has made to our lives, he is so much happier, soft skin and hardly any itching, I really want others to know about it if it helps them as eczema is such an awful condition for the sufferer and family alike. It does take a bit of getting used to in the bath but once he knew how it helped he is asking for a sea bath!! Good luck!

I just bought this product online following advice from my work colleague. Someone she knows uses it for severe eczema and it has worked wonders for them. My little girl is on a really potent steroid at the moment and I am willing to try anything to clear it. It has just arrived in the post this morning so I will update you in a week or so and let you know if it has done any good. Smells exactly like seaweed so not looking forward to having to wash the bath out afterwards! Grin Fingers crossed that it works.
