My DD 2.6 has 'Geographic Tongue' for the last 2 months - when will/does it go?

I took DD to the doctors about two months ago as she had some strange patches on he tongue. He said it was geographic tongue and that it was common and no treatment at all was required and it would go away on its own. But its still there two months later!

Just wondered if anyone else or their DD/DS had had it and how long it usually takes to clear up. It doesn't bother her at all, just looks really strange.

it tends to come and go. have heard figures quoting 50% clear in 6 months. I know one person who is 26 who has had it for 24 years! It never cleared.

thank you!

24 years, crikey, hope it doesn't last that long
