sweat rash? on dd. looks like nettle rash

the past week or so my 18 month old dd has started coming up in a rash that looks as though she has been stung by nettles, red skin with raised, paler bumps. looks angry but doesnt seem to bother her and goes down within a couple of hours.
it can be on a largish portion of her body or just a tiny patch.
no new washing powder etc but the past couple of sleeps she has woken up with it on her face where she has been resting so we are thinking some sort of heat/sweat rash.
she has slightly sensitive skin but haven't seen the rash before, even in hot weather. any ideas? no point in going to dr as doesn't seem to bother her and not even always there? thanks

My ds has this too- he is 9 weeks and has had it since birth, exactly as you describe. The health visitor said it was probably heat rash and tbh it does appear much worse when he gets hot. Not sure what to suggest to help though- nothing I have tried so far has done the trick

my ds had this, but he is a lot older than your dc, turns out he had been touching a tree and was allergic to the tree sap, has your dd been playing in thr garden? she could of touched something that doesnt agree with her

Petit try putting some porridge oats in cool bath water. Put the oats in an old sock then run the sock under the tap when you run the bath. Make the bath luke warm, use the oaty sock as a sponge all over her body iyswim. Then let her run round in nudey for a bit. It it's heat rash it should calm right down. Hope that helps

Petit my Ds1 3.10yrs has had this every summer since being born, it sounds like prickly heat/ heat rash. The doctor give us a mild Hydrocorisone(sp?) cream and if i put it on at night it's gone by morning. And Piriton works well also because of the anti-histamine in it. HTH x
