Toddler saying they feel sick but seem fine otherwise?

Just wondering if anyone else has had this?

My recently turned 3 year old has starting saying she feels sick at bedtime a few times in the past month or so, but has never actually vomited and seems fine/chatty otherwise, she also says food will make her feel better (including asking for a jam sandwich!)

She does have food allergies so I worry it could be related but it’s never after the same dinner and is sometimes several hours after she’s last eaten. It also some times happens when she needs a poo but not all the time.

I don’t want to dismiss how she feels but wonder if it could be that she’s confused about her body sensations or is trying to delay bedtime? It’s about once a week and just seems so random.

Could she be hungry ?

I was also going to say hungry. I'd offer a banana just before bed if tea was a while ago, and then if she still says she feels sick once up to bed say to have some water and you'll come and check her in a little bit. Then you're not dismissing it but also not letting it delay bedtime (and if she does feel ill she'll still be awake in half an hour).

Thank you! I did think maybe hunger but she will also just say I’m hungry at bedtime pretty often on other days, and will ask for crackers etc so think she is pretty good at articulating that.
