Coughing at night - is it worth buying a mist humidifier?

The last few nights my 6 year old has been coughing at night & first thing in the morning, but then she's fine the rest of the day. It wakes her up in the night. She's done this before & it goes away at some pint, doesn't last too long, but I don't want it to keep happening & I'm looking at getting a mist humidifier & wondered if anyone has had a similar problem, if this helped & which one you bought. Thanks

I don't think a mist humidifier would hurt but i'd also get her checked for asthma too.

We've had her tested for this before as her breathing sounded quite raspy at one point but they said she didn't have it. I do wonder if she's maybe got allergies of some sort though
