Has anyone used mebendazole for threadworms in 9 month old baby ?

I found a thread worm in my 9 month old baby's stool. We have two older children and baby is an active crawler so must have somehow got it off someone else?? We have treated the whole family with Ovex but the GP also prescribed the same thing for baby and I have it to her this evening but now I'm feeling really guilty about it and worried about side effects.

has anyone else given mebendazole/ovex to such a young baby? GP said it's not licensed for under 2s but thwy can prescribe it and I chose to go for it so the worms could be gone.

I remember using it on my baby when she was about that age, the things that surprised me was that the dosage was the same for her as it was for me and my eldest who was four at the time!
