Hi, my 4 year old doesn’t like sweets and therefore won’t take the children’s gummy vitamins - tried multiple!
I used to give him abidec in yogurts and food but now he notices when it turns the food yellow and refuses to eat it. Any ideas on how I can vitamins into him? Tried bribing!
thanks

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Is there a reason you are giving them vitamins?
I only ask as we never did because it wasn’t necessary.
Appologies if there is a back story

Just feed him a healthy diet

BetterYou sprays taste minty (at least the Vitamin D spray does) and he might find it fun to spray it into his own mouth.

The NHS recommends vitamin d all year round for under 5s. And for everyone October-March.

It’s the only universal supplement they advise so it’s what we follow.

But tbh OP, I wouldn’t worry about it if there’s no other underlying health need. I wouldn’t make it a battle if he doesn’t want it. I think when mine were little, the drops we had were clear, but I can’t remember the brand I’m afraid - and they might have been just vitamin d only.

Can he take his as you take yours and you make it a ‘this is what we do everyday’ thing?

apologies. My kids are in their twenties so don’t keep up with current advice.
im curious though, why vitamin D specifically?
I take a slow release multivitamin that has Vitamin D among many others so no ‘skin in the game’

Edited

I think it’s just the evidence around how many people in the UK are deficient in it, or have sub optimal levels.
