Private online GP options for desmopressin for child bedwetting

Has anyone had success with a an online private GP service for desmopressin? We’ve tried everything for 7 year old bedwetting and seen the nurse at the NHS surgery, health visitor, ensuresis lead - all seem to point to the ERIC website and advice but we’ve tried all that, including the alarm (doesn’t wake up).

It’s affecting his confidence and it’s breaking my heart. Appreciate signposting to a good provider who understands this issue and can help us try the medication, so he can start joining in more without being embarrassed and self conscious.

Has your GP not referred you to the continence service? They will tell GP to prescribe it, we had no trouble getting it on NHS. Worth pushing them for a referral before paying for it I would think.

Pretty commonly used in NHS enuresis services which generally take referrals from 7.

All they have said is to contact the health visitor, who basically gave the same advice as the ERIC website

There will be a clinic which you can be referred to. But 7 is about the youngest that enuresis is considered abnormal in any case, this isn't unusual.

My child got it but only through being referred to urology and seeing a consultant. They do regular bladder scans and look at bladder capacity to monitor it’s effectiveness.
