Hi, I woul£ ask fo4 a second opinion from the OTs manager. I know that floor beds are very popular for young children now, I think there has to be something underneath to allow airflow, not just any mattress on the floor.

I have just googled "long toddler bed" and got lots of results. I would probably go for a floor height bed as your daughter could bum shuffle in and out herself maybe, and it would be a small drop if she rolled off and couldn't stop herself?

Montessori floor bed might work

I would go for a floor bed too, either without sides if you think she would be safe if she got out of bed at night or with rails if not to discourage her getting out of bed. I was debating getting this type of bed for my daughter but she walked eventually at 2.5 years and we ended up getting her a normal bed that’s lower than standard so if she does fall out she doesn’t hurt herself.

Get Laid Beds do a floor bed as well as low beds that are good quality.
