Do these spots look like a cold sore in a child?

Please can someone help?

do these look like HSV? /cold sore I noticed them around 4pm this afternoon and beside myself with anxiety. Has anyone seen anything like this before?

Health visitor is coming at 10am tomorrow so going to ask but spiralling in the meantime.

Do you have reason to suspect a cold sore? Do you have one yourself? I don't think it does look like one, it looks a bit like baby acne to me which appears around 3 weeks and isn't anything to worry about x

They look like what we used to call milk spots which isn't anything to worry about.

I do have them on and off but haven’t recently. He’s been visited by some family yesterday and although I insisted on no kissing and I saw no one do it I’m just very anxious. Thanks for responding x

I think if a 3 week old contracted the herpes virus it'd look a lot more dramatic than that! It is hard to know though. Any other spots elsewhere?

he has a few pimples around his nose and the odd one on his face/cheek but they aren’t surrounded by redness like the ones near his mouth.

No these are not coldsores, in my opinion, just normal spots that babies often have.

Absolutely not. Lots of babies get them little spots, it's called 'baby acne'. It's caused by hormones passed from you. Don't worry, totally normal and harmless.
