Cracked flaky skin behind my two year old's ears

my 2 year has been cracked, flaky skin behind his ears for a couple of weeks. It seems to come and go, does anyone know what could be causing it this or what it is? Thank you

Eczema probably. Make sure you rinse all soap shampoo off properly. Moisturise with e45. That’s what my dr said to me.

Rinse thoroughly, dry twice. So if you've washed his hair, dry thoroughly, and then dry again after half an hour.

For nine it was cradle cap and excema. Making sure he didn't leave yoghurt there and vaseline helped
