Row of spots on waist

11 year old has just shown me this around his waist. What could it be?

Nothing has changed with clothes, washing powder etc.

They look like bites, something's worked its way round. Do you have pets?

Do they itch? They look like flea bites.

Is it just on one side of his body - could be shingles? Has he been unwell at all with a cold or anything?

I was going to say flea bites too. That line looks like being bitten along a pyjama top.

We have a cat but she takes monthly flea medication so it’s not from her. He hasn’t been unwell. I’ll keep an eye on it.

That looks a lot like bed bugs -
check your beds and mattresses for black dots and blood smears

Pretty sure thats shingles
