My son was vomiting on Monday he seemed absolutely fine before that but since Monday he has a temperature, pink eye and is complaining of aches and pains, I just thought it’s abit weird how he has become this ill after being sick I thought it would have been the other way round.

has this happened to anyone else’s children?

I suggest you ring 111 for proper advice instead of asking random people.

Id say maybe bring him to the gp, if you have an out of hours near you

MabelAnderson · 21/03/2026 14:49

It’s normal to vomit or have diarrhoea at the start of an illness, it’s your body trying to throw it off. It sounds like a virus, possibly Covid as that can cause eye inflammation but it could be any kind of infection really.

Is he responding to Calpol?

Kellydeans25 · 21/03/2026 15:10

I haven’t just asked random people I’m actually waiting for a call back, so was just asking for advice in the mean time. So instead of putting rude and pathetic comments like you just did how about you ask a few questions first and then maybe you might learn to stop being so judgemental

@Kellydeans25

I wasn't being judgemental at all.

Chewbecca · 21/03/2026 16:44

First sign my DC showed of chickenpox was vomiting. It's quite a common initial sign of infection.

These threads are for parents to come on and ask advice. It is clear your knowledge only stretches to come on and be rude.
it is people like you who ruin these threads so if you have nothing constructive to say don’t bother saying anything.

Neveranynamesleft · 22/03/2026 11:39

@Lbet
Suggesting someone rings 111 for advice for a sick child is constructive. It is ignorant and rude to make comments about another persons knowledge of which you have no knowledge. Your comment isn't necessary or constructive either. Let it drop.
