No signs of puberty

hi all, hoping for some reassurance. My dd has just turned 12. She has absolutely no signs of puberty or breast buds at all and the difference is very stark between her and her friends.
I didn’t start my periods until just after my 14th birthday, but I do remember having breast buds by 12. Can anyone reassure that their daughters didn’t have breast buds at 12 but went on to develop normally? Google says to contact GP if nothing by 13, which of course I will do, but this seems very late looking at other sources. Thanks

Hi there,
How is this affecting your DD? With her friends going through all the stages of puberty and having periods she must feel so very different.
hopefully she will soon begin getting breast growth and Pubic hair.

I was 16 before I went through puberty, never did develop any boobs though just nipples but menopause at 43.
Also one of my daughters developed at age 9 she gets her figure from her fathers side, bigger built and big breads and our other daughter not yet at 13 but has my figure and no breast buds, my mum was late and never developed boobs and hit menopause at 42 so sometimes it’s genetic.

Could you contact school nurses team to ask their advice?

12 is still young, there’s no need for you to be concerned.
