Travel insurance while waiting for genetic tests and/or allergies

Does anyone have experience getting travel insurance for children while waiting for genetic tests to come back or for a child with allergies? I assume these things all need to be declared as I’m worried a claim
would be turned down if not. Would be keen to hear of anyone with experience of either of these situations:

  1. Older child has hypotonia and suspected genetic condition. No specific diagnosis but likely waiting for genetic test results at time of travel. Pretty normal 4 year old but with the gross motor skills of a 2 year old.
  2. Baby with suspected CMPI and possible as yet unknown allergies. We would be extremely careful with her food but would insurance cover an allergic reaction? Do allergies increase travel insurance costs?

No experience re: genetics but whilst DD was in the process of allergy diagnosis we just didn’t travel - too much of a risk as insurers really don’t like conditions which are declared but not yet fully diagnosed.
