3 year old complaining of headache but only has a slight ear infection

My 3 year old has bee complaining about her ear and head hurting so I gave her some paracetamol and she said it was gone, she went into nursery fine but I ended up getting a call near the end of the day to tell me she was complaining about her eyes hurting.
We went to A&E and we were told she had a slight ear infection but not enough for antibiotics so to keep up to date on pain relief for 3 days then we will take it from there.
The next day she was fine but then during the night she has been super upset again, holding her head and has a very high temperature.

Im just thinking am I doing the right thing waiting until 3 days I know the doctor has advised this but it worries me with her temp and holding her head.

Again I know these can be symptoms of ear infections but you cant help but worry or think the worse, especially when we have been told only a slight one.

Any advice would be appreciated

Earache is awful. I'd phone 111 as its likely the infection is worse.

Dose her up on painkillers for now.

Pharmacy's can now prescribe antibiotics for ear infections. If you search pharmacy first there should be one by you and we just basically walk in/ book an appointment on there website.

it’s much quicker 😀

My daughter had the same. Mild ear infection that was causing headaches around her eyebrows. We were told antibiotics were not necessary and to see if she could fight it off. About 3 weeks later she developed tonsillitis which needed 2 lots of antibiotics to shift. I think the ear infection turned into tonsillitis
