Chickenpox vaccine for 6yo, newborn in house

We're thinking out paying for DS (6) to have the chicken pox vaccine. He's not had chicken pox and we don't want him to get it as he's getting older. He won't qualify his one NHS catch up dose until potentially early 2028.

However, we've got another baby arriving in December. Is there any risk from him having the jab, and there being a newborn in the house?

Thanks!

When in December is the baby due? Get him done asap so you can get the second dose 4 weeks later? Have you ever had chicken pox?

Could potentially be about 3 weeks from now (prob being induced during week 38). I'm 99.9% certain I had chicken pox as a kid, but my mum is unable to confirm or deny (I'm youngest of 5, our histories all get blurred 😅).
