my baby is 4 weeks old. We started him on cow and gate formula and he was settled lovely, no discomfort or anything but he was passing a minimum of 10 stools a day all very watery. GP suspected cows milk allergy so put on nutramigen and seen no difference apart from he became very unsettled and wasn’t feeding very well. He’s been on neocate now since Monday (4 days) the first couple of days passing fairly hard stools once a day and very unsettled and seems in a lot of discomfort. Tonight he’s passed this stool and it seems quite mucousy, is this normal? I’m questioning weather or not he does have a milk allergy or if I should of changed to a different cows milk formula to see if that helped the frequency and consistency of his stools as now yes the stools have hardened up and slowed down but he was settled before and now he’s so unhappy! Struggling with what the right thing to do is at the moment. Continue with neocate or try him back in a cows milk formula?
