What is this in child’s mouth?

Just visited the dentist for our 6 monthly check up’s & the dentist pointed out my DD has this little pink lump under her tongue. We didn’t know this was there & this doesn’t bother her at all & she said it’s not painful. She wants her back in two weeks to check it.

Does anyone know what this could be? (Picture attached)

It doesn’t look like an ulcer I don’t think & the dentist said it could be a saliva stone - although said she’s quite young to get that.

Thank you

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

My eldest had that before, she squeezed it and it seemed to just be trapped saliva. I'd leave it, encourage hydration and wait for dentist to have a look

Oh really? Thank you it could be that then. My dentist seemed very unsure on what it was. I would have thought a dentist would have seen this before. She said if it’s still there in two weeks she’s referring her to the hospital.
