TMI - my son's stools have been an odd colour

My 3 year old son hasn't been himself for around a month now. His stools have been an odd pale sandy colour..
I went to the Drs and they pretty much made me feel like an over dramatic mother and fobbed me off..
Am I right to be concerned or is this stool colour normal?

Pale stools can be a sign of issues with the liver, I would go back and push for the GP to at least take a stool sample.
