Daughter said she was going to be sick but wasn't

Hi everyone,
I'm new here but wanted to ask some thoughts or experiences... I'm severely emetophobic hence overthinking this, but could anyone advise before the morning?
This evening my daughter complained of a stomach ache at bedtime, unfortunately she has learned my fear of being sick (I'm not proud of this) and started to panic as she said she was going to be sick and felt like she was.
I got her outside so the fresh air would distract her, and it worked - she wasn't sick. But am I just delaying what will inevitably happen overnight, or is it possible that is has passed?
She also has symptoms of a UTI which I will of course get checked out first thing, as she has been for about 20 wees this evening.
Has anyone got any sage words or advice to offer?
Feeling quite panicked as I hate the thought of her being sick overnight.

Bless u, emetephobia is awful

im sure you are aware that giving you reassurance will only give u a temporary relief -
I would suggest looking after her as u would anyway,

feeling sick rarely leads to actually being sick,
have your resources ready so u feel in control, an old towel, a bowl whatever that you can use if needed, if she does feel sick again,

UTI’s rarely cause vomiting,
let her have plenty of fluids,
see GP with a wee sample asap
try and get some rest yourself

and at some point in the future seek therapy for emetephobia -
it’s not an easy treatment, but can really help

Thank you, you are right, I know you are. Reassurance really doesn't do much I guess, but actually you just said something that really helped which is using an old towel..she freaks out when she sees a bucket or anything, but an old towel would be perfect. Thank you, and yes, I'm currently researching therapists in the area..I need to get this resolved, it's awful.

Trust you are likely to cope better than u think u will,
and it will all certainly pass
UTI’s really are unlikely to cause sickness and the tummy pain and discomfort will
be lower down really, so not really the tummy anyways,
get your resources ready so you know where everything is just in case,
but I bet u will not be needing
hope u all get a good night sleep

Have you actually treated the UTI because that can really progress if you don’t. ? She needs to be drinking water or if you have it barley water ( not other juices but barley water is good). If you’ve got bicarb you can also add a teaspoon in a drink of weak squash / barley water. Both of those an alkaline and will help ease any pain when weeing. Whatever pain relief for the age of your DD and then get her some treatment. The tummy ache could be a kidney / flank pain maybe?

DS feels sick at night fairly often - anxiety causing reflux I think. He is never actually sick.

If you DD is asleep now, you are probably fine.

Thank you! I am hoping this is the case, and she's still asleep with no sickness so praying she makes it through the night without incident 🙏🏻

Thank you! The UTI seemed only to come on from 5 or 6pm so have been encouraging lots of water and will get her to the GP first thing for antibiotics.
The stomach ache crossed my mind as being kidney pain which she couldn't describe any other way.
