Wrist Buckle fracture & splint - heat advice

DD2 has fractured her wrist and needs to wear a splint for the next 3 ish weeks. We are four hours in and she’s already sweaty bless her.

Any advice on what would help? I’m thinking something cotton inside like a sleeve almost to help keep her skin cooler but can’t for the life of me figure out what to search for on Amazon or what could work!!

I was also going to suggest school give her an ice pack to use over it if it gets particularly sweaty… can anyone foresee any potential issues with this?

Thanks so much 💕

I've just had this, broke my wrist and had a metal plate put in. Wore the splint for two hot weeks. Ended up just soaking it in cold water and wearing it wet, really helped. Also vaseline on the wrist to stop the fabric rubbing my skin too much.

I had a tubular bandage (just a single layer iirc) under my splint when I had one
